One Idea for InstaCart

Here’s my idea, and it should be easy for your software developers to implement. Each time a customer selects an item and puts it in their “cart”, they should be asked if they want to specify a 2nd choice for that item in case their 1st choice not available. For example, if they chose Wheat Chex, but the store is out of that product, they should be able to choose Rice Chex (or whatever) as their 2nd choice OR indicate to just delete the item from cart. Simple, right? It saves time for the shopper, since he/she doesn’t need to text the customer to let them know there is no Wheat Chex. And if the customer doesn’t see that text, then shopper has to take Wheat Chex off the list. Time saved is money earned. What do you think?
